MY WORLD OF ART AND POETRY
Even a simple poem is an art form – if I say it’s a poem then it is a poem!
Poetry is an expression of who I am in the moment. It allows me to express my thoughts and innermost feelings.
I write a lot of poems about my disability; I don’t share my poems straight away but like to perfect them first. Although they’re personal reflections, I want to share them. I write them for myself initially as it helps me understand life – it’s a kind of therapy. I believe by sharing them more people can understand how I live with a disability.

Art knows no boundaries – if I say it’s art, then it is art!
I like to illustrate my writing with art, and I paint with both watercolours and acrylics often playing music at the same time. My artwork reflects my experiences. After doing my BTEC in art and design I realised that art knows no boundaries. I prefer abstract art – I need to do my own thing and when I get the urge to paint the hours slip by!
